Joseph Edmund

Manchester’s very own Joseph Edmund makes his debut on Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik this month with his debut ‘Manipulate’ EP. Having been acknowledged as one to watch by the likes of Solardo and Mark Jenkyns, Joseph Edmund has been on our radar for a while and with recent impressive releases on Saved, elrow, Hot Creations, Nothing Else Matters and Sola, we thought it was about time he made his label debut. Lead track ‘Manipulate’ gets things pumping straight away with rhythmic hats, glitchy synths, rumbling low-end, echoing snares and a rave inspired b-line which sits perfectly underneath chopped hypnotic vocal hits. ‘Activate A Lot’ closes out the EP; another rave inspired tune that delivers chunky drums, elaborate percussion and plenty of texture and rawness, bringing the energy straight to the heart of the dancefloor.
