There are times in life when we’re just running on autopilot. The days keep moving, we get things done, but inside we feel tired and far away from ourselves. Our battery is almost empty, but the world around us stays loud and demanding. We long for a break, a moment to breathe, for that feeling of actually living instead of just getting through the day. “Ghosts in the Machine” is about exactly that phase: when we turn our feelings down, just so we can handle everyday life, and slowly start to feel more like a part of a machine than like a human being with dreams and depth. And still, there is something left inside us. A small, quiet spark that reaches out for light. A feeling deep down that there must be more than just functioning. That belief that we can find our way back to ourselves is what keeps our hope alive. From there, my own interpretation of Xenoben’s “In Delirium” picks up – a piece that stayed with me when I was in that same state of pure functioning. With both tracks, I want to remind you of this: Your own light is still there, even when it feels quiet. No light in this world is more important than your true self – and that self is worth more than just existing. It deserves to be truly lived.
